Title : Dutch Sound 2008
Format :CD
Label : Buma Cultuur (Netherlands)
Year : 2000
Info : This freebie release is an “initiative” by the Dutch umbrella organisation for copyright control and intended to “promote Dutch rock music” abroad. Rock groups from the the Netherlands, a country roughly the size of a postal stamp, may be all over the press here and a big deal, hardly any of them ever manage to play shows abroad, (unless they are punk bands). The Hydromatics have done 6 or 7 full European tours of four weeks each without help from anybody, in the most adverse and Spartan conditions imaginable, and do not need this kind of “support”. How we ended up on this release is a mystery to me.
Title : Rock sound 47
